The Allen Library Endowment Fund (ALEF) is the grateful recipient of a donation presented by Allen Mayor Ken Fulk.

At the December 13 meeting of the Allen City Council, the Mayor presented a $9,400 contribution. The check represents proceeds from the “State of Allen” event that was held on November 2, which featured a look-ahead at education and economic development in our area. The event was hosted by the Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce, the City of Allen, the Allen Independent School District, and Collin College.

The contribution will go toward enhancement of the Library’s Teen Area. In previous years, ALEF funds have supported the Library’s STEM program (science, technology, engineering, and math), the World Language Collection, e-books, and robotic kits.
