The Board of Directors of the Allen Library Endowment Fund (ALEF) would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Friends of the Library for its generous $500 contribution to this year’s fundraising efforts. This year’s annual October fundraiser was its most successful ever, raising a record $16,801.
President Jeanie Schulmeister said, “FOL’s gift is especially meaningful because ALEF and Friends share the common mission of supporting our Library and enhancing it as a centerpiece of our community. We deeply appreciate this support.”

The funds raised will go toward enhancement of the Library’s Teen Area. In previous years, ALEF funds have supported the Library’s STEM program (science, technology, engineering, and math), the World Language Collection, e-books, and robotic kits.
ALEF’s mission is to raise needed funds to enhance existing projects and programs of the Allen Public Library. Donations of any amount are encouraged.
